Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies used on www.thewebtales.com and how to control them.

www.thewebtales.com uses cookies and similar technologies. This page explains what they are, which ones we use and how you can control them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences, and help us understand how the site is used.

Cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary. Set by WordPress and our hosting to keep the site secure and working, for example to protect forms against abuse. These cannot be switched off.
  • Performance. Set by our caching and content delivery providers (LiteSpeed, Cloudflare) to serve pages faster. They do not identify you.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics, where enabled, to measure pages visited, traffic sources and general usage so we can improve the site. Data is aggregated; IP addresses are anonymised where the tool supports it.
  • Marketing. Where we run advertising, platforms such as Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn may set cookies to measure campaign results and show relevant ads. These are set only if you have not opted out in your browser or on those platforms.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; most browsers let you refuse all cookies or be notified when one is set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and manage advertising preferences on each platform.
