Webtales IT Solutions is hiring an experienced and skilled Ruby on Rails (ROR) Developer in Navi Mumbai to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable web applications, managing server-side logic, and ensuring seamless data exchange between users and backend systems. This role requires strong expertise in Ruby programming, backend development, API integration, and database management.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems, scalable web applications, and software solutions using Ruby on Rails.
- Develop reliable, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Ruby code following modern development standards and best practices.
- Manage server-side logic, application workflows, and central database architecture to ensure seamless functionality.
- Build and maintain backend components, APIs, and data storage solutions for web applications and platforms.
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end teams into backend systems and application workflows.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize APIs and third-party integrations to enhance application functionality and connectivity.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, QA teams, and project managers for seamless project execution.
- Manage the complete development lifecycle from requirement analysis and architecture planning to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure application scalability, performance optimization, security, and reliability across platforms and environments.
- Create, configure, and manage servers, databases, and supporting infrastructure required for application functionality.
- Connect applications with additional web services, APIs, and external systems to support business operations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, debug application errors, and resolve performance bottlenecks effectively.
- Participate in testing, deployment, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives for web applications.
- Maintain and enhance existing platforms and software solutions through regular updates, optimization, and feature improvements.
- Follow industry best practices for coding, testing, documentation, security, and version control using tools such as Git.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 2–8 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
- Strong knowledge of Ruby programming and backend development.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable Ruby code.
- Experience with data storage solutions and database management.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git or GitHub.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with APIs, backend integration, and application architecture.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
